The story
Direction, not another map of pumps.
Most gas apps answer “where is the cheapest station?” GasPulse answers a different question: “what are prices doing?” GasPulse is a trend tracker rather than a station finder.
It makes official weekly U.S. Energy Information Administration data approachable through a tactile, native iPhone interface. People can compare states or regions, move through weeks, months, years, and five-year history, and see whether the latest trend is rising, falling, or holding steady.
GasPulse was designed and built independently by Misha Belstar, a product designer focused on making dense information feel simple, useful, and enjoyable.
