THE BIG PICTURE · TL;DR
Oil climbs. The pump-price update comes next.
Oil rose after renewed attacks and a Saudi pipeline shutdown added to supply concerns. That creates upward pressure risk for gasoline, but the latest EIA pump-price observation predates the weekend news. Tomorrow’s scheduled release is the next weekly checkpoint, not a forecast of what your station will charge.
Brent rises above $107 after new attacks.
Reuters reports Brent crude futures at $107.82 a barrel, up 3.1%, at 12:18 GMT on September 14. The report describes fresh attacks on regional energy infrastructure and shipping, and says Saudi officials confirmed a temporary shutdown of the East-West pipeline after a drone attack.

More pressure on supply can reach the pump.
EIA explains that crude costs, available gasoline supplies, refinery operations, and inventories influence pump prices. GasPulse’s interpretation: sustained disruption could put upward pressure on gasoline, while available stocks can cushion shortages. The duration of the disruption matters; today’s oil move does not translate directly into a cents-per-gallon change.

The latest weekly prices predate the weekend.
EIA’s September 9 release still lists September 7 observations: U.S. regular gasoline averaged $4.157 per gallon, up 8.6 cents from the prior week; California averaged $5.678, up 15.8 cents. Those figures cannot show the effect of this weekend’s events. The size and timing of any additional local change remain unestablished.
Weekly averages include taxes and are not individual station quotes. No new GasPulse forecast is implied.
